      Romance and murder involve the listener in the latest Ransom Canyon series, read with an authentic Texas twang. Narrator Julia Gibson lays it on thick and heavy in this audiobook revolving around Dakota and Blake, who are in a modern-day Hatfield and McCoy feud. The supporting cast is full of real-life characters who are energized by Gibson's wonderfully versatile accents. She adds a dollop of quirky humor when portraying the sheriff's assistant, Pearly, and the senior Romeos who vie for her attention.
